This form of treatment has been used to treat many different addictions and ailments. There are multiple methods used in Aversion Therapy treatment. The study of Aversion Therapy used in treating sexual disorders has been around for years and is somewhat controversial. The four major methods of Aversion Therapy used in the treating of sexual addictions and behaviors are: chemical, electrical, classical, and operant. Today’s society is chalk full of sexual deviants, pedophiles, and rapists, who have deep seated issues which need addressed and resolved. Since the 50’s, there has been a serious increase in sexual abuse and sexual abuse related deaths. During this time, the number of pedophiles and sexual deviants has drastically increased. Sexual abuse and sexual misconduct is one of the leading causes of psychological issues in children and adults to day. Aversion Therapy is being used to loosen the grip of sexual addictions and sexual psychological disorders. The techniques have been used in treating many sexual deviants and are described and critically measured from the point of view of the experimental psychology of learning. AVERSION THERAPY

Setting and Staging is another important element of drama. Setting is the time and place where the story occurs. When performed as a play, the setting may be the most important aspect of the story. Some plays involve multiple settings while others develop under one. The staging is the directors idea developed into reality. Free Media Violences: Boy Killed by 19 inch Essay Sony Media Argumentative Persuasive Essays Boy Killed by 19 Television Set Blaming the Media No Longer Just an Excuse for Bad Parenting BRAGGS, OKLAHOMA-The concept of media-induced violence took what is being called its most disturbing and literal turn last week when an eleven-year-old boy was assaulted and killed by his familys television set. The boy, a sixth grader who liked TV more than he liked being crushed by heavy things, was pronounced dead in his living room shortly after the incident. The television, a 19 RCA stereo unit with universal remote, was unharmed, and is currently in custody. Avery, a student at Muskogee County Middle School, was reportedly sitting in his home watching the suspect after school last Thursday. Joseph Avery, the boys father, was in the house with his son, but remained unaware of the tragedy until finding his son and calling 911 some twenty minutes after the incident. Police arrived shortly to subdue the television, and paramedics tried unsuccessfully to resuscitate the victim. I just cant believe this, Mr. Avery said Friday. I always thought TV would kill my son, but I thought it might do it a little more indirectly. Early reports indicate that Mr. Avery may have been distracted at the time of the killing by another television set in another room. This second set, a 27 Sony, is being questioned for its possible involvement in the killing. Like most incidents that are blamed on television violence, it seems that warning signs forecasting the tragedy were present but ignored. We were just watching Gladiator on that TV the other day, said Mr. Avery tearfully. And right there on the screen, looking right at me and Kyle, was Russell Crowe, looking all pissed and vowing vengeance. But I thought he was talking to Commodus. Since the introduction of the television ratings system in recent years, experts say that many parents tend to underestimate the risks that are still involved when their children sit in front of a television. Even some television executives are admitting the dangers of these wretched picture boxes. People tend to think that a V-chip will protect kids from any sort of violence that might be caused by television and its child-destroying programming, said child destroyer and NBC programming chief Jeff Zucker. For complete safety, NBC suggests more substantial means of protection, like some V-Leather-Straps and a V-Six-Point-Roll-Cage. Speculation has already begun as to what may have motivated the television set to lash out so aggressively. It is possible that the TV may have been facing another TV on the other side of the room, which, only moments before the killing, could have been showing a particularly violent scene from an uncut version of Best of the Best 2, giving the TV the idea to kill something. These reports could be neither confirmed nor deemed plausible. Ron Calder, a family friend, says that the tragedy has changed his own opinions about media-induced violence. Really, I always thought the whole idea was just ridiculous. In fact, me and Joe were just talking about this a few weeks ago. He was trying to tell me that TV is responsible for this and movies are responsible for that. In August of 1942, a man of Mexican origin was found unconsciousnear Los Angeles at a place which later came to be referred to as ‘Sleepy Lagoon’. The authorities labeled his death a murder committed by the local gangs of Mexican youth, particularly the ‘38th street gang’, the reason being the frequent violence that allegedly ensued between them. Several members of the aforementioned gang were arrested and charged with murder and were then put in jail. Although the convictions were later overturned and the members which were arrested were let go, this murder case brought an anti-Mexican tendency throughout the media in California and Mexicans were thought of as being violent and troublemakers. Tensions grew between the Mexican-Americans and the people of local origin, especially the white Americans, as a result. The riots however did not start without further incidents directly or indirectly causing even more tension. Before we get to when the actual riots took place, we must understand that there was an ever-growing amount of discrimination against the Mexican-Americans or Latino-Americans in the area. ... r Production Board imposed restrictions on various things in order to utilize the resources in a better way; one of the goods on which the production restrictions were imposed were suits, and clothing which contained wool. However, certain tailors did not stop the manufacture of Zoot suits and thus, shortly afterwards, wearing a Zoot suit in war-time became a symbol of disregard to the regulations of the War Production Board and therefore, a disregard to the fact that the country is at war and care must be taken in utilizing of the recourses. Wearing of these suits was hence a symbol of going directly against patriotism and in the view of the authorities, the media and especially the men of the US navy stationed in the city, it was reason for even more hatred towards the Mexican-Americans or â€Å"Pachucos†. The causes of the riots can be further elaborated by highlighting two incidents that took place a few days before, and on the night before the riots, respectively. The first incident involved a group of Mexican-Americans in Zoot suits attacking the soldiers and sailors based on allegations of harassment of Mexican women in the area.
